BERN – Around 30 nations presented themselves at the Fernweh Festival in Bern from October 29th to 31st. Liechtenstein was also represented. The “Nünitram” sung by Bernese songwriter Mani Matter was quickly converted into a concert stage and drove across the Swiss capital as the “Liechtenstein Fernweh Express”.

The Liechtenstein Fernweh Express took the festival guests to the various event locations along tram line 9. During the tram ride, Amik Guerra, Suzie Candell, Roger Szedalik, Maximilian Näscher and David Mäder performed in different formations on the mobile concert stage “Nünitram” and thus enjoyed Liechtenstein’s cultural scene on Fernweh Festival Bern presented.
On Saturday, Government Councilor Manuel Frick attended the Liechtenstein performance at the Fernweh Festival, which is sponsored by the Ministry for Society and Culture and the Cultural Foundation. In the presence of the newly elected Councilor of States and current director of the Federal Office of Culture, Isabelle Chassot, he took a trip with the “Liechtenstein Fernweh Express”, listened to the sounds of Liechtenstein and exchanged views on cultural-political issues, the ministry announced in its broadcast.
The Fernweh Festival Bern has been known for years for presenting the world’s long-term destinations. The term “wanderlust” was redefined due to the pandemic. According to the broadcast, Swiss travelers have discovered the attractiveness of the vicinity and have come to appreciate the nearby travel destination Liechtenstein.
