Government at the forefront of the emergency in San José de Uré

After the Uré ravine has raised alarms in this municipality in the south of Córdoba, the government of Córdoba, through the secretary of the interior, Jairo Baquero Puentes, is at the forefront of aid to mitigate the emergency.

Yesterday officials from the Departmental Administration provided aid to the affected families and organized the municipality through cleaning, as, after the flood, the streets of San José de Uré were full of mud.

Firefighters and citizens, about 220 people in total, joined forces and during a tiring day managed to clear the streets of mud and thus recover from the harsh emergency caused by the heavy rains on Saturday night.

San José de Uré has been suffering from the scourge of floods for years. So much so that in 2022 alone there were 15 floods and despair remains intact as Ideam demonstrated that the rainy season will now be stronger.
