Government Announcement on Incentives for Electric Cars: Path and Aid Prospects Explained

The announcement on the incentives has arrived from the Government: here’s what is happening and which path they are aiming for. The words come directly from the minister.

Il Government he went back to talking about incentives for the purchase of cars, especially electric ones. Citizens must now be careful about what decisions may be made because the ideas in this sense seem to be clear. In fact, the announcement has arrived which explains what the aid prospects are. It seems that the Meloni Government has clear ideas. (Ansa) – Derapate.it

Electricity therefore, a lot for cars as well as for two-wheelers, is the path that the Government wants to take to impact the environment as little as possible. And also to allow costs to be significantly lowered. The incentives therefore aim precisely at this: to push citizens to get rid of old cars and take the latest generation ones.

Convincing everyone that electric vehicles work better is not and will not be an easy thing, caused in the meantime by the very high prices of these cars. First of all, however, we need to work on the mentality of motorists and with incentives, perhaps we can convince the average Italian that this really is the case. But be careful, because these will not be intended for all types of cars. The MEnvironment inist, Gilberto Pichetto Fratin, was clear in this sense. Incentives for those who wanted to buy a super electric car would, for example, be wasted. Here then were his words.

Car incentives: the announcement comes from the Government, it’s official…

Gilberto Pichetto FratinMinister of the Environment, spoke to Ansa as well as the latest aid provided by the Government. His words were more than clear: “Incentives help, but they don’t allow us to completely change a fleet of cars like ours”. The Government is continuing to push towards the increasingly widespread use of electricity, but the minister would like to do so in a reasoned way. In fact, his speech did not end here. The announcement from the Government arrives: the words of Minister Pichetto on the incentives (Ansa Photo) – Derapate.it

“I believe that – continued the minister to ‘Ansa’ – it is not possible to give an incentive of 30 thousand or 40 thousand euros. The incentives intended for those who want to buy the electric Ferrari They seem unsuitable to me.”. He therefore spoke thus on the sidelines of the congress of accountants held in Turin. In practice, the Government’s path is to focus on the quantity of aid, not on the extent: the incentives must be reasoned in proportion to help as many citizens as possible to get rid of old cars, not just a few who want an expensive car.

Of the approximately 40 thousand machines still in use in Italy 2.5 million are Euro 1 and Euro 2 types. They must be eliminated as soon as possible, also because, as underlined by the minister, they do not help in environmental terms, especially with 2035 now upon us. But even in economic terms, they are not worth more than 500 euros so convincing citizens to change only by using aid will not be feasible. Do these words signal a progressive farewell to this type of aid? We’ll find out in the next few days.
