Government acquired vaccines against pneumococcus, rotavirus and yellow fever

The Minister of Health, Ximena Garzón, assured that the vaccines have already been distributed in the country’s hospitals.

Garzón assured that these vaccines have already been distributed in all public hospitals in the country.

Additionally, the Ministry of Public Health (MSP) announced the purchase of other 250,000 rotavirus vaccines and 200,000 yellow fever vaccines.

“We are working to reestablish the process. We have made an important purchase of these biologicals that we did not have in stock, ”said Minister Garzón.

When the shortage occurred, pediatricians warned that the lack of vaccines at an early age can cause the child to become deaf, with any disability or neurological damage.
