Goulash Party at Dunakesz Retirement Club – Dunakanyar Region

This year, the Dunakeszi Retirement Tour Club also held its cozy event called the Gulyás party, which is typical at the beginning of autumn, and this time 130 people participated. Sándor Zupka and the members of the management took care of the typical atmosphere this time. The Mayor Csaba Dióssi and Attila Csoma, director of the József Attila Cultural Center, were welcomed among the guests.

Seeing the initiative of the enthusiastic members on the board and many members of the club who are interested in it, the director of the club said proudly “We have nothing to be ashamed of!” The walking club is not in our name by chance, this is not a ‘rust zone’. We are as old as we are, but we move, we run, and the bottom line is: we are together, we live in the community, we can count on each other, we can for us to laugh and be happy for each other”. He thanked management for their support and involvement, and took the opportunity to introduce two new management members.

It is typical of the club’s cohesion and mutual care that they have their own sick visitor, who used to visit sick members in their homes. But now he has problems with his knee. Therefore, the management would like to see someone who could take his place for a short time, so that those who are forced to stay at home can continue to feel the care of the community.

Mayor Csaba Diósi

Mayor Csaba Díóssi welcomed the members, who filled the rows of tables set up for food in the large banquet hall. He said that he is always happy to come to the club’s events, because here he can be among interested, cheerful people who, despite their age, are happy and participate in their lives. town. Among other things, he stressed the importance of avoiding loneliness in the lives of the elderly, being in the community, which also maintains mental abilities. However, physical activity and health maintenance are equally important, of which movement is the most important element. We need to take care of our muscles and joints! He suggested that we follow the example of the Japanese, who encouraged the population to organize daily exercise, thus raising the average life expectancy in Japan to a very high level. He said, together with the director Attila Csoma, that they are analyzing how they can offer even more exercise to the visitors of the cultural center in the future.

While we were waiting for the goulash, thanks to the management and the members who took the initiative, we had the opportunity to hear a poem related to the place and the season, and a cheerful performance by the choir , with which everyone took in between the lines.

We were also able to participate in a new campaign, which tried to renew the senses and the ability to see, which is slowly weakening in old age. During this, the intended images had to be viewed and remembered for a very short time, and then questions had to be answered about the disappearing image. It was not an easy task to give correct answers to the 11 questions, but there were several good viewers.
