LONDRA – World War III could break out on a Swedish island in the Baltic Sea, located south of Stockholm, facing Latvia. A little smaller than Spain’s Majorca, with a population of just 58,000, Gotland was previously considered a tourist attraction, a northern European pearl with dozens of white beaches and the historic town of Visby, surrounded by medieval walls and from ancient ruins of a church that some locals compare to “the tower of Pisa”.
