With less than two weeks left, venture once again into the dark, misty and seedy streets of Gotham City. Put on your tights, Gotham Knights is coming October 21 2022 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.
Batman’s death as a starting point
It’s probably something hard for fans to accept, but Bruce Wayne aka Batman is considered dead in Gotham Knights. Of course, this isn’t the first time we’ve been given the joke about the allegedly dead character, to better report on later. It’s definitely one of the oldest clichés in the genre and it remains to be seen what the game has prepared for us in this area. One thing is certain, however, Batman isn’t there to resolve the multiple crises that hit Gotham in its darkest moment. Various major license villains, such as Harley Quinn, Mister Freeze, Clayface, and others are attacking the city. His aides, Batgirl, Nightwing, Little Red Riding Hood and Robin, will have to conduct investigations and collaborate, developing their skills.
What’s new in the Batman Arkham Knight sequel?
The biggest difference is of course the fact that we have four characters, which allows you to play in very different ways, depending on your preferences or the situation. The four team members have a very distinct style. And if playing solo is an option, the charm of the title lies above all in the possibility of playing up to four in co-op. The combat system has had to evolve a bit accordingly, although we stay in the Action-RPG, we expect some differences from what you are used to in previous titles. On the other hand, you will always be free to explore the streets of Gotham at night, with a Batcycle replacing the Batmobile.
