Nia Ramadhani admitted that the moment his father died and the demands in his environment to always be perfect made him use drugs. The panel of judges also investigated further about Nia’s reasons.
Initially, Nia told that her father died in 2014 and made her feel depressed until she finally consumed shabu in 2021. The judge also asked questions.
“You already have everything, right, your husband is well-established, your social life is also well-established, what else do you think? If your parents die, sometimes it’s already…,” asked a panel of judges member Fahzal Hendri to Nia, who undergoing examination as a defendant in a trial at the Central Jakarta District Court (PN Jakpus), Thursday (16/12/2021).
“Yes, I think my dad did everything for me. I only met him for 3 years,” Nia replied.
“People, if we are all humans, we will die. That is the will of God, you must be able to think so,” said judge Fahzal.
“That’s right, but maybe at that time I couldn’t, but now I believe I can,” added Nia.
The judge also asked Nia how long the effects of the drugs were. Nia said the effects of the drugs only lasted for three days.
“Is there any more desire to consume it?” asked the judge.
“Not at this time, thank God I have a better life,” answered Nia.
In this trial, Nia also told about her first child’s strong attitude when Nia was arrested for drugs. The judge also reminded Nia to act carefully as a public figure.
“I already explained Mama was wrong, Mama has studied now, and Mama asked for Mikayla sorry Mama…” Nia said.
Nia stopped for a moment and cried. But the judge asked Nia not to cry and be strong.
“At that time my son said, ‘It’s OK, Mom. The important thing is that Mama already knows’,” Nia continued.
“Try to be tough with your children. So in the future, you have a big family and it’s not random, there are many. And you have to be aware, public figure it’s just a little highlighted people. So that is a very valuable lesson,” said Judge Fahzal.
