As part of the 2024 Summer Festival program, a new edition of the Gospel in the Park Festival will be held on Saturday, August 10 in Bogotá’s Simón Bolívar Park, under the motto Water of Life. The event seeks not only to offer a platform for gospel music, but also to raise awareness about the conservation of the planet’s water resources.
Organized by the District Institute for Recreation and Sport (IDRD), the festival is free and aims to bring together thousands of national and international attendees. According to the entity, The event will feature an impressive lineup of artists who fuse talent and diverse musical styles such as Latin, urban, worship, pop and rock.

Among the artists confirmed for this edition are Funky, Juan Carlos Alvarado, Gilberto Daza, La Reforma, Jay Kalyl, La Feria, Matamba, Sion Nación Santa and Pepe López BandIn addition, the festival will include a combination of genres such as pop, hip hop and reggaeton, which will be integrated to continue the celebration of Bogotá’s birthday.

It is important to add that on Monday, August 5, the last three bands selected for this year’s program were added: Semillas de vida, Poiema and Amaria Blum. The first two bands and Amaria Blum obtained their place after a qualifying round scheduled by the festival.
The festival will also offer a variety of activities aimed at all ages.. Attendees will be able to enjoy workshops, food areas, spaces for meeting and reflection, as well as activities dedicated to children, with the aim of turning the event into a comprehensive experience for the whole family.
Besides, Canal Capital will be in charge of the live broadcast of the festival starting at 1:00 pm for nine hours. Those interested can follow #BogotáGospelPorCapital both on open television and through the station’s YouTube channel.

Given the expected high attendance, the IDRD recommended arriving early. In addition, district authorities have implemented security and logistical measures to ensure a comfortable and safe experience for all attendees.
