Sunday, May 7, Bon-Encontre welcomes the South African singer Buhle Mkhize for a gospel workshop open to all followed by a concert by Gloryspel de Pujols.
Already in 2018, Buhle Mkhize came to Lot-et-Garonne for a concert in Boé with her group, the “Soweto Choir”. When Stellia Koumba learned that the South African singer was leaving for a master-class tour in Europe, she did everything to get her to stop by here. The Buhle Mkhize course will precede the Gloryspel-Pujols concert, as part of the Gospel-Encontre.
Stella Koumba is at the origin of the Gloryspel de Pujols, Bon-Encontre, Lamontjoie and Foulayronnes groups. The Gospel-Encontre event allows each choir to rehearse their new program in front of the public before the big show on Saturday, May 13.
The Gospel-Encontre on Sunday May 7 will be very different with the Buhle Mkhize workshop which precedes it. For three hours, the singer will transmit advice and singing technique. She will also teach her students of the day songs in Zulu which they will present in the first part of the concert on Sunday evening.
