Gordon Ramsay (57) was not allowed to attend the birth of his four eldest children with his wife Tana (50). In the ‘Happy Mum Happy Baby’ podcast, Tana says that she would rather keep the cook out of the room, because otherwise it would be difficult.

“He would have gotten all squeamish and maybe he was tired”

Gordon, 57, and Tana, 50, have six children together: Megan (26), twins Jack and Holly (24), Matilda (22), Oscar (5) and Jesse (9 months).

Tana is still ‘happy’ with the choice not to have Gordon. “He would have gotten all squeamish and probably weakened and all the attention would have been on him, and this is my moment,” Tana says. “It never really bothered me.” Instead, Tana had her own mother with her at birth.

However, Gordon was at the birth of Oscar and Jesse. “I don’t know what changed: he just wanted to be there. I felt it would be nice,” said Tana.
