Three years ago, 21-year-old Holly Ramsey now experienced everyone’s nightmare, something she brutally tells honestly about in the podcast «21 & Over With Holly Ramsay», according to IS! News.
Holly is the daughter of celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay (54) and his wife Tana Ramsay (46), but has managed to gain a solid following on social media.
It is to them that she now tells about the very eerie experience three years ago, and how she has suffered mentally afterwards.

Sexual abuse
After a year at the University of London, she was admitted to Nightingale Hospital for help. She stayed there for three months, and was diagnosed with PTSD, anxiety and depression.
In the podcast, she says that this was the result of two sexual assaults as an 18-year-old. She carried the traumas alone for a whole year.

– I dug it into a box at the back of my brain, and tried to continue with everything in the best possible way, she says, and continues:
– I have three diagnoses and have been admitted. So I’m trying to navigate a road that is not talked about at all.
– Exposed to abuse
The celebrity daughter points out that there is a lot out there you do not know about others, and that she therefore wants more openness. She also tells why she chooses to be so open.
– It is really a journey, but I hope that by speaking out, I can help others to do the same or ask for help, or just to talk to friends and normalize the conversation about mental health, she says.

Holly says that the family has supported her through the difficult times, and that she is closer to them now than ever.
Also on Instagram, it is clear that she has a desire that it will be easier to talk about mental health and ask for help.
“I hope that by listening, we can continue to break the stigma surrounding our own mental health. Asking for help is not only the bravest thing you can do, but it is the first step towards a happier and healthier you “, she writes.
