Gordon Ramsay is said to have donated a whopping $ 50,000 (about 42,710 euros) in August to Ben Watkins, who fought a rare cancer. The boy is said to have paid for his medical bills with the money. Around the same time, Ramsay and Ben’s fellow candidates set up a GoFundMe campaign for the sick boy. It has now raised more than 200,000 dollars (168,681 euros).

The boy took part in ‘MasterChef Junior’ in 2018 when he was just eleven years old. Unfortunately, he had already been through a lot at that time: his mother had been murdered by his father, who then committed suicide. The boy was raised by his grandmother and uncle. When he was thirteen, he was diagnosed with a rare cancer – so rare that only six cases are known worldwide.
