Gordon Ramsey presents and produces a new game show for the BBC, the broadcaster announced on Friday morning.
In the program Bank Balance the participants have to stack money and gold bars. Unlike previous programs in which Ramsay has collaborated, the show has nothing to do with food or catering.
“It’s going to be really epic,” says Ramsay. “It’s an intense game with a lot to win and at least as much to lose. I’m so happy to be working with the fantastic team at the BBC and can’t wait to get into the studio and stack those gold bars.”
Earlier reports said the program would be broadcast by rival ITV, but after “intense negotiations”, the BBC has obtained the format. Ramsay’s production company is also in talks with various networks in the United States for an American version of the show.
