Gordon said the operation would be “too heavy”. The 52-year-old has been struggling with type 2 diabetes for about fourteen years. “It’s just up and down, I can’t get it under control. It really rocks back and forth,” he said earlier at the table with Gert Verhulst and James Cooke. “This has purely to do with diabetes. Living with diabetes… It is possible to live with it, but it is so intense for me.”
