Fears are overcome, boundaries are pushed and loves are sealed with rings. In short: a program full of positivity and romance.
After all these impressions, the participants enjoy a dinner organized by Gordon in the evening, accompanied by a glass of wine. Something Gordon didn’t quite see coming. “I just want to ask you a few questions about the use of alcohol with you,” Gordon begins. “Who drinks alcohol and when did you start?” he asks. “For a long time,” responds one participant. “I was actually shocked that you guys were drinking or is that really stupid?” Gordon says. He continues: “I think a lot of people think that people with Down syndrome don’t drink.”
Thirza gives a response that does not contain a word of Spanish. “Everyone can think what they think. We are people who like a lot and through this program you show what we can do. We are not animals. (…) We’re just people drinking alcohol and doing all kinds of things.”

Except for Angela de Jong, viewers are very pleased with the program and Gordon in his role as presenter. ‘Gosh, it’s been a really long time since I’ve been with such a big smile, and the occasional tear of emotion, watch TV!’ someone writes. You can read more comments below.
