Gorditas laguneras Mi Torreón conquer San Antonio, Texas

In the city of San Antonio, Texas, there is a place where any lagoon that travels to the United States would feel at homewell Vanessa Mota decided to start a fat restaurant for everyone who wants to try the flavor of its Comarca Lagunera.

‘Gorditas mi Torreón’ brought one of the typical dishes from La Laguna to Texasas Vanessa’s mother had a chubby stand and when she arrived in the United States she wanted to have a different concept from the local gastronomy.

“We wanted to do something that was typical of our Comarca Lagunera and you know that there are gorditas on any corner,” said the woman from the Aviación de Torreón neighborhood.

The restaurant is decorated with photographs showing places and icons of La Laguna such as the Plaza de Armas, the Casa del Cerro, the Canal de la Perla or the Torreón Cable Car, in addition to Mexican wrestling.

“We wanted something that would remind us of Mexico and people who came who have not been able to go remember when they went to Alameda or Cerro de las Noas and it catches their attention,” he said.

Also, every Sunday she and her employees put on the Santos Laguna shirt to support the warriors whether or not they party.
