Goranov said that the debt that the government is planning to take will be paid by us and our children. “However, this is a matter of choice – some countries develop with debt financing,” he explained. “At the moment we are in danger of an excess deficit,” the financier was emphatic.
Goranov clarified that the lack of money from European funds must be compensated by national investments
“As quickly as possible, but not at any cost and without a guarantee that the merged systems will give a better result” – this is what Goranov said when asked when the merger of the Customs Agency and the National Revenue Agency will take place. “I am convinced that the benefits should be more than the possible disadvantages of the merger, which are mostly related to the stress of the employees. The merger does not mean firing people,” he explained. Some would leave after certifications if they didn’t do their job.

“The ministerial position requires a lot of moral and human efforts,” said Goranov, when asked if he would keep his humanity. He explained that he refused to be a deputy because nothing meaningful could happen in the 42nd National Assembly.
