This was announced by Finance Minister Vladislav Goranov on Nova TV on the occasion of the amendments providing for the possibility of transferring our money from the private pension funds to the National Insurance Institute. He commented that perhaps only the partners in the coalition had reason to be dissatisfied – because of the way in which this decision was made.
“I haven’t made a decision for myself, most likely I won’t move to NOI”, said Goranov when asked how he will do with his money. The minister explained that the funds are extremely passive, they do not advertise their activities and accordingly – the investors in them do not know what is happening with their money. “I have not received a single letter with information about this, I have not seen a single advertisement,” Goranov was indignant
He clarified that it is possible, if this is the main concern, that the money does not automatically go from the private funds to the NOI, as well as foresee the possibility of reverse movement.
I do not question the stability of the funds, explained Goranov. However, he criticized the system and the way investment decisions are made. BGN 1.7 billion were invested in shares, and it is not clear how this money is distributed, at least such information is missing on the website of the Financial Supervision Commission. “I have no concerns about draining the funds from related parties,” the minister was categorical.
He rejected the thesis, which, according to him, aims to scare people – about the “nationalization” of their money. “There is no such thing,” said Goranov.
