After a long break, an attempt is being made in the Great Hall of the Latgale Embassy “Gors” – preparations for the opening concert of the festival “LNSO Summer House 2021”, a new production “A Tale about Musical Instruments”. The musicians warm up before the rehearsal. But until recently, the Great Hall was dedicated to the vaccination center, reveals Ilona Rupaine, the artistic director of the Latgale Embassy “Gors”: “The Great Hall has not sounded to us since November last year, it has been more than half a year this will be the first concert of “Gors” in the Great Hall. “
Students and teachers of Jānis Ivanovs Rezekne Music High School together with musicians of the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra participate in the production “A Tale of Musical Instruments” created by conductor Jānis Stafeckas and director Una Rozenbauma. Conductor Jānis Stafeckis, presenting the new production, says: “The composition is written after Inese Zandere’s fairy tale” I Didn’t Believe “. and on the flute, how they win this love and trust, and how it will all end, whether happily or not, I invite you all to listen and watch. “
He reveals that the author of the music for the production is the composer Andris Vecumnieks: “Like Andris Vecumnieks himself, [mūzika iestudējumā] is very multifaceted, is very sharp, say, witty and very characteristic of these images, someone who is who, what is the flute, what is the duke and what is the trumpet. Through these fairy tale characters, the main task is to introduce children [ar instrumentiem]; and not only children, but also parents who are ashamed to admit that they do not distinguish sound – whether it is a flute or a clarinet; here you will be able to repeat it once and enjoy a beautiful show. “

The musical performance “Otello” by director Elmars Senkovs was created for teenagers, designed to acquaint young people with the events of William Shakespeare’s famous play through objects around us – everyday life, everyday life or certain life situations. The author of the music of the performance is Ernests Mediņš.
The director reveals that he thinks the story is about “emotions make their own, and some speculate with those emotions,” he also points out, “Those passions in Otello’s story are as great as those we as teenagers conjure up around us.”
Last year, the festival “LNSO Summer House” created a home in Ventspils. This will be the third time in the Latgale Embassy “Gors”, offering a program for both large and small listeners in three days.
Raimonds Pauls will perform at the festival on Saturday at 19.00, who will play his miniature cycle “Naktstauriņi” with new arrangements for symphony orchestra, while on Sunday afternoon LNSO, Latvian Radio Big Band and Intars Busulis will play music. There will also be a concert featuring the outstanding pianist Luka Gennes, who will perform symphonic hits such as Peter Tchaikovsky’s overture-fantasy “Romeo and Juliet” and his first piano concerto, which could be “honey ears” for music lovers and academic music lovers.
Ilona Rupaine, the artistic director of the Latgale Embassy “Gors”, admits that as the events resume, the queues of spectators gradually become more and more crowded: “I think people need this encouragement and remember how to come to these concerts and events. , who came to the last concert, she wrote down how long she was long after all, and we hope that this summer house will give the feeling that it was how I missed the whole Covid at a time.”
The program of the festival “LNSO Summer House”, which will start this Friday and end on Sunday, will be diverse, offering not only classical music compositions, but also jazz hits and Hollywood golden age melodies. Live broadcasts of several concerts will be available on the LSM portal.
