tvThe popular Dutch series ‘Gooische Vrouwen’ will make a comeback at the end of 2024 with a brand new season. Dutch media company Talpa confirms that it is working with streaming service Videoland to revive the series in the magazines. The four main characters – played by Linda de Mol (59), Tjitske Reidinga (51), Susan Visser (58) and Lies Visschedijk (49) – all return.
“After the enormous success of the TV series and two record-breaking cinema films, the four popular friends from Het Gooi will shine on the small screen again at the end of 2024. As soon as there is more information to share, we will do so from SBS6 and Videoland,” the media company said.
Just like the previous seasons, the new episodes are made according to the idea of Linda De Mol and directed by Will Koopman. “It’s fantastic that we are all coming together again,” Koopman responds. “I’m really looking forward to it. We are working on the scripts now. The old feeling comes back again.” Linda is also looking forward to seeing the gang again. “I’m really looking forward to playing with Susan, Tjitske, Lies and Will – who also turned out to be true friends in real life – next year.” Moreover, “really everyone” is participating again. “All four Goosche women, Martin Morero, Aunt Cor, Doctor Rossi, Yari….”
Her role as Cheryl was long behind her, but the memories came flooding back when Linda watched ‘And Just Like That’ – the sequel to ‘Sex and the City’. “Then I realized how much I had missed it. The casual fun, the friendship, collecting Gooische stories, crying with laughter on the set, the great actors and how nice it was that viewers enjoyed it so much. The characters are still household names, even among a younger generation.”
‘Gooische Vrouwen’ was shown between 2005 and 2009. The leading roles were played by Linda de Mol (Cheryl), Tjitske Reidinga (Claire), Susan Visser (Anouk) and Annet Malherbe (Willemijn). From season four onwards, Lies Visschedijk (Roelien) could be seen instead of Malherbe. In 2011 and 2014, films were released that continued the story of the series.
