Google TV continues to expand the functionality of its Home Dashboard to other devices.
Here’s what we know
After a successful launch on Google TV Streamer and Chromecast, the new panel is now available on TVs from TCL, Hisense and other brands. The Home Panel allows users to control smart home devices like Nest lights, fans, and thermostats, as well as view live Nest cameras and send notifications to the Nest doorbell.
While the panel’s features aren’t as powerful as the standard Google Home app, they’re still very useful. Users can access the panel through quick settings by holding the home button. If the feature is not yet available, it is recommended to check for updates to Google TV Home and other apps in the Play Market. The feature’s rollout to Google TV devices is ongoing and users can expect further improvements and expansions in the future.
