[이코노믹데일리] Google has launched the Asia-Pacific region’s first ‘AI Academy’ program, supporting startups that will lead changes in various fields such as finance, healthcare, and security based on innovative AI technology. A total of 23 startups were finally selected for this program, of which 7 were domestic startups, proving Korea’s potential in AI technology. The AI Academy program launched by Google is designed to support startups’ advancement of AI solutions and business growth. The program began with a three-day bootcamp held in Singapore on the 15th, and a total of 23 startups from 7 countries in the Asia-Pacific region participated. The seven domestic startups finally selected this time are expected to create innovation in various fields such as finance, security, and data analysis based on AI technology.
The selected domestic startups include △CipherData △Cliwant △Testbank △HayanMind △Smoretalk △Podonos △Sankun, etc. 7 10 companies were included. They are each providing various AI solutions, such as AI-based security platform business document analysis and problem-solving note app development, and are increasing their competitiveness in the global market.
In particular, ‘Cipher Data’ is leading the way in strengthening corporate cybersecurity and personal information protection, and ‘Test Bank’ provides a solution that converts PDF documents into digital content using AI technology. In addition, ‘White Mind’ supports an AI-based mobile app sales increase solution, and ‘Smore Talk’ supports an AI design assistant function for brand marketing.
This AI Academy program will run for three months and include customized mentoring sessions to help startups grow. Google plans to provide more than 170 hours of mentoring from AI and cloud-related experts to startups participating in the program, and will also provide Google Cloud Credits (GCP) worth up to $350,000 (approximately 470 million won). This gives startups the opportunity to further refine their AI solutions and collaborate with global networks.

Meanwhile, among the startups selected this time, ‘White Mind’ is a company that participated in the 4th period of the ‘Changgu Program’ conducted in cooperation with Google Play and the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, and was selected at this AI Academy and plans to showcase its more advanced AI technology. The AI Academy program will end with a graduation ceremony in December, and participating startups will present improved AI solutions in front of investors, entrepreneurs, and AI industry leaders.
