The YouTube Works Awards, a global digital advertising festival, started in Korea in 2019 and is now in its 6th year. This awards ceremony, which discovers creative and effective YouTube campaigns through data-based screening, has established itself as a representative event that highlights innovation and creativity in the industry.
This year, winners were selected in a total of 11 categories, and two campaigns jointly won the Best Branding category, bringing a total of 13 campaigns to the award list. In particular, this year, the independent category ‘Artificial Intelligence (AI) Pioneer’ was established to celebrate the creative use and innovation of advertising marketing and AI.
The Grand Prix works were judged by a vote of the final judges based on criteria that reflected 50% each of the effectiveness of the marketing campaign and the creativity of the creative. The award-winning works received high praise in various aspects such as creative content production, innovative marketing strategies, and business performance-oriented approaches, further strengthening the competitiveness of the Korean advertising industry.
At the event, Kim Dong-gil, CD and co-CEO of DeMinus One, InnoRed CEO Park Hyun-woo, and LG U+ Marketing Strategy Director Jang Jun-young participated and held a panel session under the theme of ‘A more diverse marketing world with AI.’ Based on their respective expertise, the panelists discussed various cases and perspectives on the changes and innovations that AI has brought to marketing, and shared in depth the impact of AI technology on campaign strategies and customer experience.
