Google Announces Launch of Android 15 Developer Preview with Privacy Sandbox Technology

Washington, February 17 (QNA) – Google announced the launch of the first developer preview of the Android 15 operating system, and with it comes a new version of Privacy Sandbox.

According to the company, Privacy Sandbox technology aims to protect user privacy across Android devices and create a personalized advertising experience for mobile applications, because Google still needs to make money from its users.

Google explained that the new operating system provides available additions to give more control over the device’s camera so that it can be used to its full capabilities. It also provides more controls for developers to manage the heat and processing power of the device in order to improve the performance of games and applications, and a group of updates relate to the dynamic performance framework of the Android system. Which helps manage how power-intensive applications interact with the phone’s power system, and these modifications aim to help the device respond in a better way to the requirements of the graphics processing unit, central processing unit, and thermal systems, and help applications with long-running background tasks work efficiently in energy consumption.

The company said: “Android 15 supports a new feature, which is partial screen sharing, and Android 15 users can record the screen or share part of the screen such as the application window only instead of the entire device screen.”

The new operating system also contains updates for developers to secure the integrity of application files in order to prevent them from being damaged or modified by malicious software, thus creating a security risk.

Android 15 can be downloaded from the Android developer website starting today, and Google is likely to launch it officially soon when it launches the new Pixel phones and other Pixel devices.
