The Rhenish Fidermark daughter Florida had been promoted to Grand Prix by Nadine Husenbeth’s father Klaus, before he gave her to his daughter, who with her from the first Young Rider medals, to victory in the Piaff Förderpreis-Finale 2013 to the team -Gold at the U25 European Championships in 2016 has come a long and successful path. Florida was entrusted to the Husenbeths by their owner Helga Steves. This community lasted until the end.
Florida’s great strengths were piaffes and passages, which she celebrated without a saddle in retirement age, almost out of nowhere. After she left the sport, Florida enjoyed her time on the pasture with friend Piccolino. Together, the two Grand Prix professors taught the Husenbeth young horses the basics of good horse behavior. Piccolino died in spring 2020. And now the Husenbeths had to say goodbye to another family member.
Nadine Husenbeth reported to Dressage Sport Germany: “Last Wednesday she just didn’t want to get up in the morning – despite the vet’s best efforts. She didn’t want to anymore and we had to let her go with a heavy heart. “
