These have been turbulent times for doctor Ann in “Home”: her great love Tania turns out to have been raped in her teens by Ann’s father Walter. He is therefore the father of Tania’s son Xander. When Xander’s fuses blow and he attacks Tania for the umpteenth time, Ann knocks Xander dead to protect Tania. Self-defense, it is judged: there is no legal tail end.
But Ann is broken: in her last episode she tells in a letter to her great love Tania that she is leaving for good after these violent events. The viewer knows that she wants to make a new start in Cape Verde. She packs her bags, gets into a car and drives off through the well-known one Floated. It is no coincidence that Ann travels to Cape Verde, because her ex-partner Mayra has been there for a long time. Is her farewell final?
