Today, Sunday, the Ministry of Health and Population announced that 1,318 people who have recovered from the Corona virus have been discharged from hospitals, after receiving necessary medical care and recovering according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, bringing the total number of people recovering from the virus to 42,455 cases to date.
Dr. Khaled Mujahid, Advisor to the Minister of Health and Population for Media Affairs and the official spokesperson for the Ministry, stated that 167 new cases that proved positive laboratory analyzes of the virus were recorded, as part of the surveillance, investigation and necessary examinations conducted by the Ministry in accordance with the guidelines of the World Health Organization, pointing to the death of 31 new cases.
“According to the recommendations of the World Health Organization issued on May 27, 2020, the disappearance of symptoms for 10 days of infection is an indication of the patient’s recovery from the Coruna virus,” Mujahid said.
“Mujahid” stated that the total number that was registered in Egypt with the new Corona virus until Sunday, is 94,483 cases, including 42,455 cases that have been cured, and 4,865 deaths.
