The diocese team looked at the future of the topic of spiritual life/spirituality in the diocese of Limburg on Tuesday, September 24th, in the Wilhelm-Kempf-Haus in Wiesbaden-Naurod. It was decided to develop a concept for a possible specialist center. According to the management committee, the organizational form is particularly suitable for bundling and further developing existing technical competencies and decentralized offerings. The specialist center is intended to provide offers for the entire diocese that promote spiritual life and explore contemporary spirituality in a secular environment. It should be about networking, strengthening, experience, further development and further training as well as reflection and exchange. The pastoral and education service area should now develop a concept and structural proposal for the possible specialist center with the Frankfurt am Main region as a possible location for the specialist center and with further perspectives. The establishment of the specialist center requires a final decision by the diocese team, which is scheduled for spring 2025.
Another important topic at the 33rd working session of the diocese team was the exchange with the main MAV/DIAG. Since the work of employee representatives in the Diocese of Limburg is diverse and complex, it is important that employees and employees communicate well with each other. Therefore, the structured annual exchange between MAV and the diocese leadership has been established. The exchange made it clear how important transparency and participation is in change processes, such as the transformer. MAV and the diocese team also looked at the MAV elections in the coming year, which the employers will also be promoting, and the work of the employee representatives in the diocese area.
The diocese team also made agreements on how to deal with the sub-goals of the transformer and thus also looked forward to the end of phase 3 in the important change process.
The next meeting of the diocese team is on October 15th in Limburg.
