The medical team is currently enjoying a huge increase in their wages, within the new health insurance system, which is considered one of the most important achievements of President “Abdel Fattah El-Sisi”, after the comprehensive health insurance system was launched in the Arab Republic of Egypt, and an increase to the allowance was actually applied Medical professions, announced by President Sisi at the last time.

The salaries of doctors in the new health insurance system vary from 11,500 to 25,300 pounds, compared to 42 separate or continuous working hours during the week.
1- The salary of a consulting physician reaches an amount of 17 to 22 thousand per month.
2- The salary of a critical specialization specialist ranges from 15 to 17 thousand pounds per month.
3- The salary of the specialist doctor ranges from 14 to 16 thousand pounds per month.
4- The salary of a resident doctor for rare specialties “anesthesia, care, emergency” ranges from 11 to 13 thousand pounds per month.
5- The salary of resident doctors comes from 10 to 12 thousand pounds per month.
Salaries for pharmacists and dentists:
Whereas a recent graduate dentist receives a salary of 11,500 pounds within the new system, while a master who has more than 5 years experience receives a salary of 13,800 pounds, and for pharmacists, a recent graduate will receive a salary of 9200 pounds, while a pharmacist gets A master’s degree or more than 5 years’ experience at a salary of 11,500 pounds.
Physiotherapy salaries:
As for physical therapy, a recent graduate will receive a salary of EGP 9200, while a master’s holder or more than 5 years experience will receive a salary of EGP 11,500, and a recent graduate nursing specialist will receive a salary of EGP 9200 while a member gets Nursing experience from 3 to 5 years, for a sum of 10300 EGP.
A member of the Medical Council, Dr. Ihab Al-Taher, explained that the health insurance system included many positives and not only increasing the salaries of doctors, but rather the development and renewal of hospital (buildings) in Port Said according to quality standards.
He added that human resources and quality departments have been introduced, and a better organization has been made to the way patients wait and during their examination, noting that the new incentives have already been disbursed according to the schedule announced by the Ministry of Health.
Medical professions allowance:
When starting to apply the increase in the medical professions allowance, a member of the Medical Council welcomed Dr. “Ibrahim Al-Zayat,” and the application of the law regulating the affairs of members of the medical professions began, which clarifies the increase in the medical professions allowance with a retroactive effect. In private statements, he indicated that the medical professions allowance will be disbursed, retroactively, from last March, by a rate of up to 4 months, noting that the decision included doctors working in health insurance and working in university hospitals, as the union demanded.
Dr. Ibrahim Al-Zayat emphasized that the passage of the law in general is a positive step towards achieving the demands of the medical team and doctors.
