Good Samaritan Ends Up Injured Trying to Stop Suspected Robber Inside NYC Subway Station – NBC New York (47)

A good Samaritan was injured while trying to help another woman after a suspect robbed her inside a Manhattan subway station, New York City Police said.

The police report indicated that the incident occurred on Monday, around 6:00 pm inside the train station of the 34 Street – Herald Square when the alleged robber approached the first victim, a 33-year-old woman, he knocked the cell phone out of her hand, picked it up and attempted to flee.

At that point, a 27-year-old Good Samaritan tried to stop the suspect, and he struck her in the leg with a sharp object before fleeing.

Paramedics arrived at the scene and took the second woman to the hospital in stable condition. The first victim was not injured.
