Sound N ° 1 – Top tip: Nancy, the city of Golden Doors

I’ll take you for a little tour of my home, in Nancy, the city of Golden Doors. We obviously start with one of the most beautiful squares in the world, a UNESCO World Heritage Site: Place Stanislas. This Duke of Lorraine was able to mark the spirits and his statue sits in the middle of the square that bears his name. You will be able to admire there fountains and beautiful gates gilded with gold leaf, signed Jean Lamour.

Take the opportunity to take a walk next door to the Parc de la Pépinière. It is very shaded and if you have young children with you there are a few rides in one corner of the park.

If you are into a museum, you will have a choice in Nancy. For Art Nouveau lovers, the Nancy school museum is worth a detour. If you are more interested in animals, the Aquarium Museum, just off Place Stanislas is for you. The one that I never tire of doing is the Museum of Fine Arts. You will see everything there, old and modern works.

As you walk, take a good look at the walls, you can admire many street art.

You can treat yourself to a relaxing break and a tanning session on the banks of the Meurthe, on the new 2 Rives beach.

Finally, throughout the summer, you can enjoy the many taverns set up all over the city and the magnificent “Rendez-vous Place Stanislas” show, every evening at 10 pm until September 12th. This year, it’s a retrospective of the shows since the creation of this magical summer event.
