Although it can be used on several other devices, the company will ensure the security still works under the new system. According to Facebook, companion devices will connect with WhatsApp independently and can maintain a level of privacy and security.
Facebook stated that privacy and security will be maintained through end-to-end encryption, a technology that is already in use WhatsApp for a long time.
