good news! The GoodNotes app now lets you record while taking notes.

Previously, people who used the GoodNotes app wanted to record themselves. Or record the teacher’s voice when we take the lecture as well, we will have to open another recording app to add more. It’s not possible to press while taking notes like other apps like Notability, but now GoodNotes can.

Update to the latest version

The recording feature in the GoodNotes app is new and must be updated to the latest version. It is version 5.9.76 to be able to use the recording feature.

How to use the recording feature

Once updated to the latest version, come to the app page, you will find the app icon in the top left bar. You can press to record the sound.

When you press stop recording, it will show a sound wave icon. You can tap the icon and press listen.

And can still press to record another round as well In which the audio playback bar will have a point to show the recording is divided into cycles so that we can press play to listen repeatedly each time.

But the sound that we recorded still cannot be saved as an audio file. Can only be listened to while in the app. In future versions, it is hoped that GoodNotes will update and improve the ability to save audio files outside the app. It will definitely increase the convenience of GoodNotes app followers as well.
