Good News, PC Game Pass Will Come to Indonesia

Jakarta

Microsoft confirmed that he would bring PC Game Pass to five countries in Southeast Asia, including Indonesia, and for now the preview version of the service can be accessed at a rate of Rp. 1,500.

For your information, PC Game Pass is a service similar to Netflix and the like, but for games. So by paying a monthly “rent” fee, users can play the games available in the service.

In fact, the service is more popular on Xbox, under the name Xbox Game Pass. But apparently, because Microsoft doesn’t officially sell Xbox in Indonesia, the service included is PC Game Pass, at least for now.

Microsoft’s flagship games such as Minecraft, Forza Horizon 5, Age of Empires IV, Sea of Thieves, and Microsoft Flight Simulator can be played without the need to buy the game.

Of course also the mainstay games Halo Infinite, Fallout, and The Elder Scrolls, which are made by Bethesda Softworks are also available here. Likewise with a row of games from EA Play such as FIFA, Battlefield, The Sims, and Mass Effect.

PC Game Pass has a game repertoire of over 100, including games from Xbox Game Studios, Bethesda, and EA Play. The service is available in preview mode via the Xbox app on Windows for IDR 1,500, as Microsoft improves its local payment system.

As this is the first step in bringing access to PC Game Pass in Indonesia, players can also test and provide their feedback so that Microsoft can make improvements to the entire service. Microsoft hopes to share more about how to join PC Game Pass when the service officially launches in Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam later this year.

“At Xbox, our mission is simple: to bring gaming joy and community to everyone on the planet. Bringing PC Game Pass to new countries in Southeast Asia is an important part of our efforts to achieve that mission as we reach out to billions of players, ” said Jeremy Hinton, Xbox Asia Business Lead, in a statement received by detikINET.

“PC Game Pass has a large collection of high-quality, diverse game studios, with experiences from every genre. Xbox Insiders members will have their first chance to experience the value PC Game Pass has to offer, and we look forward to making this service available to more gamers soon.”

Will Microsoft bring Xbox officially to Indonesia with the presence of PC Game Pass? We’ll just wait…
