Range iPhone 16 Apple’s flagship is just over a month away from its launch window, and details continue to pour in regarding the new models.
The models iPhone 16 Pro et 16 Pro Max will continue to play on their premium positioning and the latest rumors focus on a series of improvements around their battery.
Higher battery capacities, but not only that
According to a Chinese leaker, both models will see their respective battery capacity increase slightly:
- 3577 mAh (+9,3%) pour l’iPhone 16 Pro
- 4676 mAh (+5,74% pour l’iPhone 16 Pro Max
This should allow the iPhone 16 Pro to offer an additional hour of battery life compared to theiPhone 15 Pro but it remains to be seen whether this improvement is not associated with the additional needs ofApple Intelligencethe AI environment that Apple will offer with iOS 18.
However, the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max should also benefit from a specific battery technology (stacked battery) improving energy density and its lifespan and which has been rumored (at Apple and other manufacturers) for some time.
Will wired and wireless charging evolve too?
Finally, there is always the hope of seeing Apple decide to increase the charging power of its smartphones to go further than the eternal 27W, interesting for preserving the good health of the battery over time, but which pales in comparison to what Android smartphone manufacturers offer (100W and more).
We are talking here about a transition to a 40W wired charging in USB-C, which would already be welcome, and at a 20W wireless charging MagSafe instead of the 15W of the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max. But all this remains to be confirmed.
