Ebola outbreak in eastern Congo officially over
The Ebola outbreak in eastern Congo is over, the Congolese authorities say. The second largest Ebola outbreak ever lasted nearly two years.
The outbreak, which was labeled an international health crisis by the WHO in July 2019, has killed nearly 2,300 people since the outbreak began in August 2018. Almost 3,500 infections have also been registered.
Fruit growers harvest export growth despite corona crisis

European drug authorities approve first corona drug
The European medicines authorities have approved the virus inhibitor remdesivir as the first medicine against COVID-19 under certain conditions, the Medicines Evaluation Board (CBG) reports. The European Commission must take the advice before the medicine can be used in the European Union.
Remdesivir can be prescribed upon adoption of the advice to corona patients who are hospitalized with pneumonia and who need extra oxygen. There is already a temporary exemption in the Netherlands for the use of brake desivir.
NK inline skating at the end of August on the Zandvoort circuit
The NK inline skating will be held on August 29 at a special location. The national title fight will then take place on the Zandvoort circuit.
