Happy news came from the famous badminton athlete, Greysia Polii, Mother. Greysia reported that she was pregnant with her first child.
Greysia said she was pregnant exactly two months after deciding to retire as an athlete. Now, the gestational age is in the second trimester, which is 6.5 months.
“Two months after retiring as a professional badminton athlete, around August 2022, I and @felixdjimin received a very beautiful GIFT from God, now he is 6.5 months old,” Greysia wrote as quoted from her Instagram account. @greyspolii, Tuesday (24/1/2023).
Greysia and her husband are very grateful for the presence of the baby they are carrying. She also asked the whole community to continue to pray for her and her husband until the upcoming birth.
“We are very grateful to all who have prayed for us. Please continue to pray for us until the day of delivery, okay,” said the gold medalist at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
Greysia Polii’s pregnancy journey
On her Instagram page, Greysia Polii also uploaded her pregnancy moments, from the first ultrasound to the gender reveal with her husband. In the video, which is dated September 5, 2022, the doctor reveals that Greysia Polii is 6 weeks pregnant.
“Yeayy, really pregnant!” said the doctor.
“Oh, I want to cry,” said Greysia, touched.
On September 19, 2022, at 8 weeks pregnant, Greysia did another ultrasound. At that time, the baby’s heartbeat could already be heard.
At the age of 6 months, Greysia and her husband did a gender reveal, Mother. This moment is done closed and only done at home with his family.
Greysia and Felix pulled a ball out of the box together. Apparently, the ball that came out was a pink ball. This indicates that the child Greysia is carrying is female.
