If everything goes according to plan, Ta-Nehisi Coates will soon be handing in his first draft of the screenplay for his Superman movie. That’s the latest story we’re getting about the film.
Warner Bros. ordered Coates’ new movie, which is supposed to revolve around a black Superman. Jeff Sneider of The Ankler brought this news out. “Speaking of Superman. The Ankler hears that Ta-Nehisi Coates will be handing in a draft of his screenplay soon.”

Justin Kroll commented that “soon” months rather than weeks. “Soon in the industry can quickly translate to 4 to 16 weeks. I already heard in February that it would come ‘soon’.”
Kroll further wrote: “I don’t mean to be rude, but it feels like something reps tell as a procrastination technique, while their client takes their time with a screenplay. 20 is still waiting for a Planet of the Apes script, though I’ve been hearing since November that it’s out there.” should come ‘soon’.”
The new Superman movie would have a black actor play the lead role. It is not certain that we will follow a Kal-El variant of Superman. Rather, it seems to be about Val-Zod, in the DC comics another Superman.
