Good news for several parts of the country

According to the meteorologist, there is a lot to look forward to in southern Norway this week.

– It is likely to be a lot of nice weather in Sørlandet, Vestlandet and Østlandet. It is clearly still summer, says meteorologist on duty at Storm Geo, Lillian Bergheim.

The temperatures in Eastern and Southern Norway will be around 20 degrees.

– In Western Norway we are at 20 degrees today, and then it will be a little colder the next few days before the temperature rises again this weekend, Bergheim says.

Agder is set to have the hottest days. On Tuesday, the degree can show 23 degrees.

They are no longer as lucky in the north.

Danger warning

In the areas north of Stadt and Dovre, periods of rain are expected from Wednesday to Saturday.

Bergheim believes that the wettest day will be Wednesday. There is most precipitation in the inner areas, the border areas from Trøndelag and all the way north to Finnmarksvidda.

– We can expect up to 25 millimeters of rain in the course of a day, says Bergheim.

According to Yr, it can get much wetter. They have sent out a warning for rain in Trøndelag on Wednesday night.

– A lot of rain is expected, locally between 45 to 65 millimeters in 24 hours, they write on Twitter.

In addition, there will be a lot of wind in northern Norway and north of Trøndelag on Wednesday.

Typical autumn

There is an extensive low pressure in southern Sweden on Tuesday.

This will move further north, resulting in a north-easterly to north-westerly stiff gale in northern Norway.

In addition, the temperatures will not be the highest. They will be between 12 and 15 degrees during the day.

– It is not unusual that we get a little stronger low pressure at this time of year, Bergheim adds.
