Al-Marsad Newspaper: A new study published in the European Journal of Cardiology revealed that a dietary supplement is able to “significantly” reverse signs of heart disease in some patients.
The commercially available supplement, called tricaprin, has been found to relieve the painful symptoms of coronary artery disease (CAD).
CAD can cause problems such as chest pain that feels like pressure or tightness, fatigue and shortness of breath, according to the Daily Express.
Reduces the accumulation of fats in the blood
Furthermore, the food product was able to cause a “significant reduction” in the accumulation of a type of fat that can be found in the blood and stored in fat cells, called triglycerides, in the blood vessels of the heart.
Commonly found in fatty foods and oils, triglycerides can increase your risk of heart disease if you let them build up.
Not only did the commercially available dietary supplement relieve the uncomfortable and painful symptoms of these patients, but tricaprin also led to a significant decrease in the accumulation of triglycerides in the blood vessels of the heart.
The researchers added that the exciting results achieved by readily available nutritional supplements bode well for patients who would otherwise continue to suffer from the debilitating effects of this disease.
