Facebook Inc is building a version of Instagram for children under the age of 13. What is the purpose of that step?
Launch Bloomberg, Friday (19/3/2021), Instagram Kids aims to bring its popular products to the next generation of internet users. However, the application has not been officially launched yet.
“The new application was announced internally on Thursday (18/3/2021) but has not yet been launched. Instagram requires users to be at least 13 years old,” reported Buzzfeed.

Facebook spokesman Joe Osborne said, “More and more kids are asking their parents if they can join social media apps. Right now, not many options exist, like we did with Messenger Kids.”
According to Osborne, his party is exploring bringing the experience of playing Instagram under parental control.
