Concretely, the self-employed targeted, who until now only benefited from an indemnity of 990.60 euros per month (cohabitant rate), will thus be able to benefit from an additional of their mutual insurance of 301.09 euros in order to guarantee a total indemnity of 1,291.69 euros, or the basic monthly amount of the gateway duty.
“Many freelancers have been impacted by the consequences of the Coronavirus pandemic. Some of them, because they were unable to work, could not benefit from the bridge right, even though their activity was also impacted by the health measures taken by the National Security Council “, underlines Denis Duarme, the Minister of Independents and SMEs.
The measure will be retroactive to March 1. The budget released for this measure amounts to 6.5 million euros. The self-employed concerned are invited to contact their mutual fund.
Here are the two situations in which the measure adopted by the Council of Ministers this Friday is valid:
– When the self-employed person has been recognized as incapacitated for work at the earliest from March 1, 2020 and compensated at the cohabiting rate according to the criteria set by the indemnity insurance;
– When the worker has been recognized as incapacitated for work (cohabitant rate) and has had / must interrupt his authorized activity as early as March 1, 2020. These are self-employed workers who were compensated and who had resumed an activity in the limits set with the medical consultant.
