Good news, Dr. Putri Wulan Sukmawati passed away, we join in condolences

jpnn.com, SURABAYA – A doctor named Putri Wulan Sukmawati who is pursuing a Pediatric Medical Education (PPDS) program for Child Health, Faculty of Medicine, Airlangga University, Surabaya, die because COVID-19, Sunday (5/7) night.

Managing Director of the Regional General Hospital (RSUD) Dr. Soetomo Surabaya, Joni Wahyuhadi during the procession of honoring the body at the Faculty of Medicine, Airlangga University, confirmed Dr. Putri died of COVID-19.

“Yes, COVID-19 has been confirmed and has been treated since June 17 at Dr Soetomo Regional Hospital,” he said.

Joni said the procession of tribute to the doctor born in Malang was in accordance with the COVID-19 screening protocol, and the tribute was carried out with the condition that the body remained in the ambulance.

“The student will soon graduate. She is also the niece of Dr. Arief Basuki, an anesthesiologist at the Hajj Hospital who also died of COVID-19 at the end of June,” said the male Chairman of the Curative Cluster Group Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling COVID-19 East Java.

The death of Dr. Putri Wulan Sukmawati adds to the long list of doctors in Surabaya who died due to exposure to COVID-19.

Previously Dr. Berkatnu Indrawan Janguk, Dr. Boedhi Harsono, Dr. Miftah Fawzy Sarengat (PPDS FK Airlangga University), Dr. IS Tjahyadi and Dr. Arief Basuki had already died because of COVID-19. (between / jpnn)
