INDOZONE.ID – A teenager 15 year old from London forced to undergo surgery after USB cable which he inserted into his genitals stuck inside.
Quoted from the Daily Mail, Monday (20/9), the teenager said the motive for inserting the cable was out of curiosity and wanted to measure the length his penis. Instead of working, the USB cable that had been tied up got stuck in his genitals and couldn’t be removed.
The teenager tried to remove the stuck cable himself, but his attempts failed and left him urinating bloody.
Knowing this, his family immediately took him to the hospital’s Accident and Emergency (A&E) unit. However, hospital staff were unable to remove the cable even with the help of special tools due to the knot position of the cable.
The teenager was transferred to University College Hospital London. After an x-ray examination, the position of the knot of the cable that was involved was seen. He was immediately taken to the operating room.
To remove the wires in his genitals, surgeons cut lengthwise into the bulbospongiosus muscle, which is between his genitals and anus. Officers managed to remove the knot through an incision, then cut it from the remaining wires hanging from his genitals.
After the knot was removed, the remaining 2 pieces of the hanging cable were pulled out of the hole in his penis.
From the medical report, the teenager did not experience any complications in his recovery and was allowed to go home the next day.
2 weeks later, the teenager did a follow-up check and found no damage to his genitals. But doctors said the teenager should continue to have ongoing monitoring years later.
