If we say that the dress does not make the monk, we can say that a match does not create hope. The truth is, the developmental process between the draft pick and the NHL opener is often long and tumultuous. That being said, Habs fans who watched the Rocket game Wednesday night against the Moose saw some great things about the organization’s last first-round pick; Kaiden Guhle.
Guhle was in his second professional game as he would be expected to play in the WHL in a normal season. After a first adaptation game, Kaiden Guhle clearly showed what seduced the leaders of the Canadian before the last draft.
The streak that got the most reaction came early in the second half as the Rocket’s # 2 demonstrated his speed with a climb that created a golden chance for Jesse Ylönen.
What a rise of Guhle! It was almost there for Ylönen.

It would have been Ylönen’s first professional goal in North America, but he recovered later in the game with a strong streak that cemented his strong start to the season for Laval.
It’s his fifth point in six games this season, but it’s Jesse Ylönen’s first professional goal in North America.

Coming back to Kaiden Guhle, his performances weren’t just remarkable in small stretches. When you look at the 5-5 game in Wednesday night’s game against Manitoba, he led all of the Rocket players with a +10 differential in scoring chances.
It was the second best performance by a Rocket player in a game so far this season behind Gustav Olofsson’s +12 in the second clash against Belleville.
Guhle also stood out in the famous% Corsi by leading all defenders to 86.21%. In total, at 5-5, he was on the ice for 25 attempted shots from the Rocket and 4 from the Manitoba Moose.
That’s the beauty of this performance by Kaiden Guhle. It has pleased more analytical fans, but also those who miss 90s hockey and its neutral zone checks.

Or those who do not want to see the defenders of the Canadian go blue.
You try to get back to Guhle’s side at your own risk.

The pandemic is 99.99999% negative, but there are a few positives. The fact that Kaiden Guhle can play a few games at the Bell Center before returning to the WHL is one of them. In addition, all local school club matches are shown on RDS. It’s perfect to make the fans dream that the big club sometimes disappoints.
