On Friday, during the general meeting of the Lannilis and Plouguerneau blood donation association, the results were positive: during the year 2021, 689 donors over six half-days came to Lannilis and 157 to two half-days in Plouguerneau.
The change of room on the Kergroas site, in Lannilis, was greatly appreciated by everyone and should be made permanent. Despite the difficult conditions of the past two years, the population of the two municipalities responded to the call of the French Blood Establishment (EFS) concerning the shortage at the national level. Doctor Martine Hémidy, of the EFS, underlined the important needs for blood on the territory so as not to suffer from a shortage.
Next collections on May 24 and 25
Jean-François Tréguer, Mayor of Lannilis, ensured the support of the municipality to help the association with the promotion and smooth running of donations. Travel to Brest by minibus for plasma donations will be relaunched in the coming months. The next collections will take place on Tuesday 24 and Wednesday 25 May, in Lannilis, and on Tuesday 16 and Wednesday 17 August, in Plouguerneau.
