The People’s Power criticized the police for misunderstanding the Seongnam FC case, while the Democratic Party criticized the police for not being willing to investigate Yangpyeong Gongheung District.

As soon as the audit of the National Police Agency began, the Democratic Party raised suspicions of preferential treatment for the development of Yangpyeong Gongheung District, where the company was implemented by the wife of President Yoon Seok-yeol.

He criticized the police investigation as stagnant, citing the results of the Gyeonggi-do audit which showed that the permit and authorization privileges were confirmed and that 800 million won was not paid for the development.

Opposition lawmakers also criticized the police for failing to forward the case of Kim Gun-hee’s bogus career to prosecution.

The People’s Power mentioned the “Seongnam FC sponsorship suspicion” involving Democratic Party leader Lee Jae-myung and pointed out that police initially dismissed the allegations as a poor investigation.

Members of the ruling party also cited the case of corruption in Eastar Jet’s recruitment, which raised suspicions about the involvement of opposition figures, with former MP Lee Sang-jik as the core.

Previously, the police had acquitted Lee twice before, but the mood has changed recently, with the charge calling for an arrest warrant.
