It’s official: Gonçalo Ramos is the new striker of Paris Saint-Germain. The champion of France hires the 26-year-old Portuguese and takes him permanently next year.

PSG will transfer a maximum of 80 million euros to Benfica in the summer of 2024, consisting of a basic amount of 65 million and 15 million in bonuses. By first entering for a rental period, the Parisians circumvent the Financial Fair Play rules.
Ramos must provide the goals at the Parc des Princes, now that Lionel Messi has left and Kylian Mbappé is no longer welcome in the first half due to his departure plans. PSG fished behind the net at Harry Kane (Tottenham Hotspur) and Rasmus Højlund (Manchester United).

Ramos made a hat-trick against Switzerland at the World Cup in Qatar and scored 27 times last season on behalf of trainer Roger Schmidt’s Benfica. PSG also hopes to strengthen itself soon with Ousmane Dembélé (FC Barcelona).
Benfica could come out in the Eredivisie in the search for a new striker. AZ player Vangelis Pavlidis is on the list, but Feyenoord player Santiago Gimenez would be the absolute favourite. The Mexican extended his contract last week, but then left the door ajar for a departure.
On Monday evening, Ramos was personally welcomed to the club by Pauleta. The former footballer, like Ramos, comes from Portugal and was very successful between 2003 and 2008 at the top club in the French Ligue 1. In 168 official matches, he scored no fewer than 76 goals.
