Golkar Party’s Head of Bapilu Dreams of Presidential Candidate for Grand Coalition

PKB said the Head of Bapilu, President of the Golkar Party, Nusron Wahid, had a ‘dream’ about the presidential candidate from the Great Indonesia Awakening Coalition (KKIR) and the vice presidential candidate from the United Indonesia Coalition (KIB). Nusron responded by calling PKB Deputy Head Jazilul Fawaid ‘not feeling well’.

“If Mr. Jazil said I was ‘dreaming’ it could mean that Mr. Jazil was ‘not feeling well’ so he couldn’t sleep so he couldn’t see the fact that today Mr. Airlangga (Ketum Golkar) met with Mr. Zulkifli Hasan (Ketum PAN) in America and several Last day, Pak Airlangga also met with Pak Muhaimin Iskandar (Ketum PKB),” Nusron told reporters, Friday (26/5/2023).

Nusron said the meeting between Airlangga and Zulkifli Hasan indicated that KIB still existed, was solid and progressive. Meanwhile, the meeting between Airlangga and Muhaimin Iskandar marked the process of integrating the 2 coalitions, namely KKIR and KIB, into a larger coalition that became relevant.

“Is this what Mr. Jazil wants to deny? Hopefully Mr. Jazil will soon be healthy and feeling well so that he will be fresh again,” he added.

Nusron ensured that KIB did not experience any problems. In KIB, said Nusron, all political parties spoke equally.

“Within KIB there is also a very open space for communication with each other, and indeed a shared awareness has been built to carry out the process of integration with other coalition groups; to become a grand coalition. However, there are still differences of opinion as to which direction the large coalition is going, to PDIP or create an alternative axis together. KIR?” Nusron said.

“Golkar has said to build a coalition with KKIR. With the narrative, if the President is from KKIR then the vice president is from KIB. Then a new, large coalition will automatically be created; which will consist of at least 4 parties in the DPR, and can even add other parties, both from parties that have seats in the DPR or non-parliament,” he continued.

Nusron predicts that a grand coalition will be formed in the near future. “With Pak Prabowo’s presidential candidate and Airlangga Hartarto’s vice president,” he added.

Previously it was reported, Nusron Wahid revealed the scenario of a grand coalition namely the presidential candidate from KKIR and the cawapres from KIB. PKB responded by bringing up KIB which had disbanded.

“Ah, what a dream, what time did Mr. Nusron dream? It was not a scenario for the KIB people to have disbanded, what do you want to merge,” said Deputy Head of PKB Jazilul Fawaid when contacted, Friday (26/5/2023).

Jazilul said Nusron had no authority to regulate the affairs of the presidential and vice presidential candidates. Considering, according to him, there has been an agreement at KKIR if the decision is in the hands of the General Head of Gerindra Prabowo Subianto and the Head of PKB Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin).

“Moreover, managing the presidential and cawapres candidates, the formula is clear, how come it is in the hands of Pak Prabowo and Gus Muhaimin,” said the deputy chairman of the MPR RI.
